The Texas Hold’Em Poker Tournaments are the newest fundraising events for the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum. They will be held quarterly in the Maritime Museum’s event room. On game days doors will open at 5 PM for registration; tournament play begins at 6 PM until 12 AM. Poker Productions LLC conducts the tournament game play.
The tournament is open to the first 150 players that register. Initial buy-in is $50.00, rebuys are optional at $50.00 each. Players that register more than a day in advance will receive a 10th Anniversary Wooden Boat Festival poster. All donations to the Museum are tax deductable.
The top five finishers will receive gift cards in amounts based on a percentage of the initial buy in:
1st place: 40%, 2nd place: 20%, 3rd place: 15%, 4th place: 10%, 5th place: 5%
Gift baskets will be awarded to the 6th, 7th, and 8th place winners.
In conjunction with the Poker Tournament, the Maritime Museum will also hold a 50/50 Raffle with the drawing announced that evening. A concession stand and bar will be available to the players and spectators.
